Designed an efficient kitchen layout and UI in Unity using cooking assets made in blender (partner)
Scripted and implemented VR mechanics: how to interact with cooking oven, how toppings are applied, kneading and dough manipulation, delivery to customer and point assignment.
Designed gameplay including player motion, cooking mechanics, and win conditions.
FAST PACED GAMEPLAY
When designing this prototype, my partner and myself wanted to create a fast paced VR cooking game that you could potentially play with your friends, we got the idea from Overcooked. Still, we wanted to make the idea our own and for VR gameplay.
We decided to make a pizza game and allow players to throw ingredients and objects across the room with no penalties. Players could throw toppings on the pizza, toss it across the room into the over, or even throw it into the delivery window. By creating different allowances for cutting time, we encouraged players to find creative ways to cut corners to meet time demands.
