Writing Examples
This page is dedicated to writing. Here you'll find samples of my work for Trewel Towers and from a fiction piece I wrote titled: King.
For Trewel Towers, I wrote dialogue for 27 stages which tells the story of a hero fighting evil to save their kingdoms princess. Originally ambitious, I dialed the dialogue back to better fit the size of my team.
To better assist the voice actors with their delivery, I included some short directions with the character bark lines. Since they are played in spacial audio, the tone was even more important.
We were originally going to Mocap the characters for cutscenes, but we realized it was too ambitious. The character profiles I created for mocap end up helping the voice actors and rest of the team.
You may find the full Trewel Towers script here.
King
A fiction writing example.
This fictional piece was my last story in EN-305 Advance Fiction Workshop. King is about a an elderly man and the bond he developed with ducks at the local pond. This piece is my first attempt at refining my playful writing style, it was very well received by my peers and was submitted for the Wilder Fiction Prize.
